Introduction to Kids MMA
At our Kids MMA Classes, children will learn the fundamentals of various martial arts disciplines, including striking, grappling, and self-defence techniques.
Our MMA classes for kids are adapted to suit their age and developmental stages, with an emphasis on safety, fun, and skill acquisition. We have experienced instructors who play a crucial role in creating a positive learning environment for young participants.
Benefits of MMA for Kids
- Fundamental Techniques: Kids will learn the basic techniques of striking (punches, kicks) and grappling (wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu submissions) in a controlled and age-appropriate manner. Trained instructors break down movements into manageable steps to ensure proper understanding and execution.
- Fitness and Conditioning: MMA training includes fitness drills to improve cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, and overall physical fitness. These activities are designed to be fun and engaging to keep kids active and healthy.
- Discipline and Respect: MMA places a strong emphasis on discipline and respect for both instructors and training partners. Children are taught to follow instructions, show respect to others, and develop a positive attitude.
- Safety First: Safety is a top priority in kids’ MMA training. Instructors ensure that children are equipped with appropriate protective gear, and techniques are practiced under close supervision to prevent injuries. Sparring may be introduced gradually and with a focus on control.
- Coordination and Motor Skills: MMA training helps improve coordination, balance, and motor skills. The diverse range of movements involved in striking and grappling activities contributes to overall physical development.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: MMA involves strategic thinking and problem-solving. Kids learn how to think on their feet, make decisions quickly, and adapt to different situations. These are skills that can be valuable both inside and outside the training environment.
A fantastic place to train, friendly, approachable and knowledgeable instructors. My kids look forward to every session, keep up the great work.
Me and my family recently moved to Lutterworth, and finding a good local martial arts club was very important to me as a parent. My boys had already been doing martial arts elsewhere, so were a little nervous joining a new club and fitting in, but from the very first session they had, they made it clear they absolutely loved it! All the coaches have been amazing, everyone made the boys feel very welcome and comfortable, and the kids too. There’s a real family friendly vibe which makes bringing them down very enjoyable. Overall, joining Impact Academy has[...]

I was recovering from cancer and wanted to improve my mental and physical health, so i started training at Impact Academy. The staff are extremely friendly and kind. They have supported me to meet my goals and without doubt aided my recovery. I attend the kickboxing and boxing sessions, which I find to be a brilliant combination of skills development and fitness training. I love the strength and conditioning classes, each session is different, so it keeps me interested. I have been encouraged by the dedicated staff to go through the grading process for kick[...]
I have been a member of Impact Academy for over a year and a half training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I don’t believe I could be at a better place to train. The building itself is always clean, tidy and well respected by everyone who uses it. I regularly walk in to see that ‘this’ has been updated or ‘that’ is new. This always gives me a sense that everyone is always trying to better not only themselves, but the environment they are in. The introduction of the fob system means your membership goes even further now you have access to the facilities[...]
Our whole family has been using the gym several times a week for both fitness and martial arts classes since 2019. On top of excellent, safety focussed tuition and instruction in all areas, perhaps the most outstanding feature is the warmth, care and welcoming attitude of the Impact Academy Staff, no matter what your ability, experience or level of fitness. Don’t however mistake this for thinking that classes will be a soft touch or that you won’t be encouraged to push yourself! Highly recommended, excellent value.
Where to even begin! This club is like an additional family. The coaches, members and everyone who walks through the door are greeted with friendliness and professionalism. My son has been a member for the last 3 years and is always helped and encouraged with everything he does. He is always excited for his classes and comes out with a positive mindset. As a parent, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather send my kids!
